As a visual artist working through the mediums of text and photography, my practice questions the fluidity of disciplines and their validity in the domain of visual art.

In appropriating the significance of a blackboards' connotations with truth and fact, my practice subverts the premise of written word to speak both of academic and aesthetic content. This juxtaposed with photographs alludes to a relationship between the built environment and structures of lexicon and thought in an attempt to unpack the many operations of language.

With reference to Joseph Beuys, Tacita Dean and Cy Twombly, my work cements itself in a transient place between concrete poetry and an info-graphic muse on the anthropocentric world view of our epoch.
